What amperage should I use for nickel plating?

Calculate the exposed surface area and multiply it by the current density specified for your commercial solution. A broad conventional range may be around 10–50 A/ft², but use the product specification.

What voltage should I use?

Nickel plating is normally controlled primarily by current/current density. Use enough voltage for the rectifier to maintain the required current without exceeding equipment limits.

What pH should nickel plating solution be?

Can I plate stainless steel directly?

How long should I plate?

Should I add brightener when plating becomes dull?
